ロリー・ギャラガーの新しいブルース・コレクション『Blues』が発売

1995年に47歳の若さで他界したアイルランド出身のブルース・ロック・ギタリスト、ロリー・ギャラガーの新しいブルース・コレクション『Blues』が、デジタル・エディション及びデラックス・ボックスセット（3CD）、2枚組LP、シングルCDで5月31日に発売されます。

元々は3人組のテイストというバンドで1969年にデビュー・アルバムを発表したギャラガーのキャリア50周年を記念した『Blues』には、1971年から1994年にかけて収録されたレアな楽曲や未発表曲、特別ゲストとのセッションが収録されています。

2枚組LPとシングルCDには16曲が収録され、3枚組CDのデラックス・ボックスセットには、マディ・ウォーターズやアルバート・キング、ジャック・ブルース、ロニー・ドネガン、クリス・バーバーらとのパフォーマンスがフィーチャーされています。しかも収録された36曲の90％が未発表曲で、さらにはギャラガーの未公開写真や、受賞歴のあるブルース・ロック・ライター、ジャス・オーブレクト（Jas Obrecht）による新しいエッセイを掲載したブックレットが付きます。

エリック・クラプトンは、「ギャラガーが僕をブルースに復帰させた」と語り、ローリング・ストーンズからはミック・テイラーの後任に誘われたギャラガーは、ガンズのスラッシュ、ジョニー・マー、U2のジ・エッジ、ブライアン・メイなど、多くのミュージシャンに影響を与えた存在。今さらながらその早逝が惜しまれてなりません。
