ビー・バップ・デラックス1978年の『Drastic Plastic』、エクスパンディッド・エディションが3月発売

70年代に活躍した英プログレッシヴ・ロック・バンド、ビー・バップ・デラックス（Be-Bop Deluxe）1978年のスタジオ・アルバム『Drastic Plastic』（邦題『プラスティック幻想』）が、エクスパンディッド・エディションとして3月5日にチェリー・レッド・レコードから発売されます。

ビル・ネルソン（vo/g/key）、チャールズ・トゥマハイ（b/vo）、アンディ・クラーク（key）、サイモン・フォックス（ds）が参加したバンド最後のスタジオ・アルバム『Drastic Plastic』には、以前の作品よりもシンセ・ポップでニュー・ウェイヴ指向の曲が収録されており、全曲ビル・ネルソンが作詞・作曲し、共同プロデュースも手掛けました。

ボックスセットには、4枚のCDと2枚のDVDが収められ、新たにリマスターされたアルバムのほか、アルバム・セッションから収録した未発表のアウトテイクや、1978年1月のBBCラジオ『ジョン・ピール・セッション』の音源を含めた88曲がフィーチャーされ、そのうち43曲は未公開音源です。

DVDには、南フランスで『Drastic Plastic』をレコーディングしているバンドの姿を捉えた映像や、1978年にBBCテレビで放送された『Sight & Sound in Concert』のパフォーマンス映像が収録されています。

なお、バンドの未公開写真やビル・ネルソンのエッセイを掲載した68ページの本と、ポストカード、ポスターのレプリカが付きます。
