これまでMLCでもお伝えしてきた（6月2日MLCニュース）シェリル・クロウのライヴ盤が遂にリリースされました。

シェリル・クロウ、ライヴ・アルバム『Live From the Ryman & More』をリリース。

シェリル・クロウがライヴ・アルバム『Live From the Ryman & More』を8月13日にリリースした。

このアルバムには、2019年に行なったライヴから27曲が収録されており、ナッシュヴィルのライマン公会堂、ロサンゼルスのエース・シアター、ロード・アイランドで開催されたニューポート・フォーク・フェスティヴァルからのライヴ音源が収録されている。

ロック・クラシックやカヴァー等、往年のヒット曲に豪華ゲスト陣が参加している。

シェリル・クロウはアルバムについて、「これは愛のプロジェクトであり、私たちの多くがライヴ・ミュージックを求めている時代のライヴ・アルバムとして、本当に完璧なタイミングです。このレコードを聴いて、私がお気に入りの人たちと歌っているのを一緒に部屋で聴いているような気分になれること、そしてまた私たち全員が一緒にコンサート会場に戻ることができる日まで、このエネルギーを感じてくれることを願っています」と語っている。

アルバムから、90年代の大ヒット曲「If It Makes You Happy」のリリック・ビデオも公開されている。

◆シェリル・クロウ
4人兄弟の3女としてシェリル・クロウ誕生。5歳からピアノやオルガンを習い始め、17歳の頃本格的に音楽活動を開始する。ケネット高校卒業後ミズーリ大学に進学。作曲やクラシック・ピアノ、音楽理論を専攻する。当時、“カシミヤ” というバンドでキーボードを担当、ローリング・ストーンズやレッド・ツェッペリンのカヴァーを主に毎週末地元のライヴ・ハウスで演奏していた。　その後小学校の音楽講師をしていた経歴も……。今やグラミーの常連と言われ、アメリカを代表する女性ロック・ヴォーカリスト。
