ニック・メイスンがソロ・ボックスセット『Unattended Luggage』をリリース

ピンク・フロイドのドラマー、ニック・メイスンが、8月31日に3枚のソロ・アルバムを収録したボックスセット『Unattended Luggage』を発売します。その曲目リストも公開されました。

3枚組のCDとLPで発売されるこのコレクションには、1981年のソロ・アルバム『Fictitious Sports（空想感覚）』、元バンド仲間のデヴィッド・ギルモアをフィーチャーし、元10ccのリック・フェンと共作した1985年の『Profiles』、1987年に公開されたスリラー映画『White of the Eye』のサウンドトラック・アルバム『White of the Eye』が収録されています。

「この3枚のアルバムは、僕の音楽キャリアにおいて非常に特別な存在。『Fictitious Sports』は、マイク・マントラーやカーラ・ブレイ、ロバート・ワイアットとのプロジェクトが元になっているけど、ウッドストックのグロッグ・キル・スタジオで素晴らしいミュージシャンたちから恩恵を受けた作品なんだ。あれから30年も経ってリイシューされるなんて嬉しいよ。昔のヴァイナル盤のヴァージョンより、売れてくれるといいけどね」

メイスンは、初期のフロイドの曲を演奏する“Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets”で、9月2日から9月29日までヨーロッパとイギリスをツアーすることになっています。
