クイーンのミュージカル『We Will Rock You』、9月から北米ツアーがスタート

4月2日のMLCニュースでお伝えしたように、クイーンのミュージカル『We Will Rock You』が、9月3日から来年の2月8日にかけて北米ツアーを行います。カナダのウィニペグからスタートするツアーは、ニューヨーク、ロサンゼルス、ラスベガスを含む北米60か所以上の都市で上演される予定。

ミュージカル『We Will Rock You』は、ブライアン・メイとロジャー・テイラーが音楽を監修していますが、今回のミュージカルでは、ブライアン・メイから個人的に依頼された音楽ディレクターのスチュアート・モーリーが音楽のリメイクを手掛け、以前よりもエッジの効いた、クイーンのライヴ・パフォーマンスを反映するサウンドになっているといいます。

タイトル曲の「We Will Rock You」をはじめ、「We Are the Champions」「Radio Ga Ga」「I Want to Break Free」「Somebody to Love」「Killer Queen」「Don’t Stop Me Now」「Under Pressure」「Bohemian Rhapsody」「Another One Bites the Dust」など、24曲以上のヒット曲で構成されるそう。
