アル・スチュワート1976年の『Year of the Cat』、45周年記念エディション発売

英フォーク・ロック・シンガー/ソングライター、アル・スチュワート（Al Stewart）1976年のアルバム『Year of the Cat』が45周年を迎え、記念のエクスパンディッド・エディションがUKで3月26日（アメリカでは4月2日）に発売されました。

スチュワート7作目のアルバム『Year of the Cat』は、1976年1月にアビー・ロード・スタジオで録音され、アラン・パーソンズがプロデューサーとエンジニアを務めました。
当時の全米チャートで第5位を記録したアルバムは、1977年にプラチナ・ディスクに認定され、タイトル曲の「Year of the Cat」は、スチュワートの代表曲になっています。

今回の記念エディションはCD3枚とDVD1枚で構成されており、アラン・パーソンズが第1世代のオリジナル・マスターテープから新たにリマスターしたアルバムがCD1に、CD２とCD３には、1976年10月にシアトルのパラマウント・シアターで行なった公演の未発表フル音源が収録され、DVDには、オリジナル・マルチトラックテープからの新たな5.1サラウンド・サウンド・ミックスがフィーチャーされています。

なおボックスセットには、スチュワートの新たなインタヴューを掲載した写真入りの68ページのブックレットや、プロモーション用ポスター、4枚のポストカードが付きます。
