ジョニ・ミッチェル、1969年のカーネギー・ホール初公演から「Chelsea Morning」公開

ジョニ・ミッチェルが、10月29日に発売されるボックスセット『Joni Mitchell Archives Vol. 2 : The Reprise Years（1968 – 1971）』から、1969年2月1日のカーネギー・ホール初公演で収録した「Chelsea Morning」のライヴ音源を公開しました。

この公演は、ミッチェルがセカンド・アルバム『Clouds』をリリースする数ヵ月前に行なわれたもので、同公演のライヴ音源がリリースされるのは今回が初めてです。

「Chelsea Morning」を含めた同公演のライヴ音源は、上記のボックスセット『Archives Vol. 2』に収録されるほか、11月12日には3枚組LPのライヴ・アルバム『Live at Carnegie Hall, 1969』としても発売される予定です。この3枚組LPには、15,000セット限定のブラック・ヴァイナルと、3,000セット限定のホワイト・ヴァイナルがあり、ホワイト・ヴァイナルの方はミッチェルの公式ストア限定での販売。公式ストアではすでに予約を受け付けています。

なお、7月29日のMLCニュースでお伝えしたように、10月発売のボックスセット『Archives Vol. 2』には、1968年にジミ・ヘンドリックスがオタワのコーヒーハウスで録音したミッチェルの未発表ライヴ音源や、1967年後期～1971年に収録した未発表ホーム＆スタジオ・デモ、アウトテイク、ジェイムス・テイラーが参加した1970年のBBCコンサートなどを収録した5枚のCDが収められ、付属のブックレットには、未公開のアーカイヴ写真やキャメロン・クロウとミッチェルの会話をフィーチャーした新たなライナーノーツが掲載されています。

また、ジョニ・ミッチェルの公式ストアでのみ、上記ボックスセットの10枚組LPヴァージョンが4,000セット限定で発売されます。
