ブラック・ミュージック界のグラミー賞「2021年ソウル・トレイン・ミュージック・アワード（Soul Train Music Awards）」の授賞式が11月28日、ニューヨークのアポロ・シアターで開催され、ブルーノ・マーズとアンダーソン・パークによるプロジェクト、シルク・ソニックのデビュー・シングル「Leave The Door Open」が、「最優秀楽曲賞（Song of the Year）」「最優秀ビデオ賞（Video of the Year）」「アシュフォード＆シンプソン・ソングライター賞（The Ashford & Simpson Songwriter’s Award）」の3冠に輝きました。

この式典で、シルク・ソニックはデビュー・アルバム『An Evening With Silk Sonic』（11月12日発売）から、「Fly As Me」と「Smokin Out The Window」のパフォーマンスを披露しており、その時の映像が公開されています。
