●ジャクソン・ブラウン　プロフィール
1948年独・ハイデルベルクに生まれ、カリフォルニアにて育つ。68年にニッティ・グリッティ・ダート・バンドに参加後、ニューヨークのグリニッチ・ヴィレッジでティム・バックリーやニコと活動。再びカリフォルニアに戻り、バーズとリンダ・ロンシュタットに曲を提供。その後アサイラム・レコードと契約。72年のデビュー・アルバム『ジャクソン・ブラウン』は高い評価を受け、シングル「ドクター・マイ・アイズ」はトップ10ヒットとなった。イーグルスのデビュー・ヒット「テイク・イット・イージー」のソングライターでもあり、『レイト・フォー・ザ・スカイ』（1974）、『プリテンダー』（1976）、『孤独なランナー』（1977）、初の全米1位を獲得した『ホールド・アウト』（1980）等など傑作・名作アルバムは数知れず、当時成熟期に入ろうとしていたロック・シーンに於いてシンガー・ソングライターというスタイルを確立した。2014年の『スタンディング・イン・ザ・ブリーチ』まで、これまで14作のオリジナル・アルバムをリリース（他ベスト盤、ツアーCDなど）。人生に対する真摯な姿勢に裏打ちされた、詩情あふれる内性的な歌詞と繊細でメロディアスな歌の数々で『ローリング・ストーン』誌から “史上最も偉大なソングライター” の一人に選出され、現在もアメリカを代表する偉大なるシンガー・ソングライターとして人々の心の奥深くにまで届く音楽を送り続ける。2004年ロックの殿堂入り。2007年にはソングライターの殿堂入りも果たしている。2018年には、世界平和、環境の調和、社会的正義への彼の才能を活かした長年に渡る多大な貢献に対して、音楽家として初のガンジー・ピース・アワードが授与された。 2021年3月には、アルバム『レイト・フォー・スカイ』（1974年）がアメリカの国家保存重要録音登録制度（National Recording Registry）に登録され、米議会図書館に “文化遺産” として永久保存されることになった。
