カジャグーグーの8枚組CDボックス・セット『The Box Of Goo: The Complete Anthology』が11月に発売

カジャグーグーと言えば、1983年のデビュー・シングル「Too Shy」でいきなり全英シングル・チャート第1位を獲得し、その後も「Ooh to Be Ah」「Hang on Now」「Big Apple」「The Lion’s Mouth」など数々の曲をトップ40入りさせ、80年代にはアイドル的な人気を博したバンドです。リード・シンガーのリマールは1stアルバムのリリース後に脱退、バンドは1985年後半に解散しましたが、その後2000年代半ばから後半にかけて再結成を果たし、和解の時を迎えました。その彼らのレコーディング全史を振り返る、8枚組CDボックスセットが11月に発売されます。

『Box Of Goo：The Complete Anthology』は、彼らのEMI時代の3枚のアルバム（『White Feathers』『Islands』『Crazy People’s Right to Speak』──それぞれ1983年、1984年、1985年にリリース）、2008年のEP『Death Defying Headlines』、リミックスとB面曲を収録した2枚組、2008年のスタジオ・アルバム『Gone to the Moon』、そして『Live in Tokyo 1984』を全て網羅しています。

収録音源は全てトニー・ディクソンによってリマスターされているとのこと。『Box of Goo：The Complete Anthology』は2026年11月27日、チェリー・レッドよりリリース予定です。
