キャット・スティーヴンスの『Teaser and the Firecat』、50周年記念エディション11月発売

ユスフ（キャット・スティーヴンス）が1971年に発表したスタジオ・アルバム『Teaser and the Firecat』の50周年記念スーパー・デラックス・ボックスセットが、11月12日にA&M／Umeから発売されることになりました。

このボックスセットには、アルバムのリマスター版、デモ、別ヴァージョン、ボーナス・トラック、1971年のBBCラジオ・セッションやモントルー公演などを収録した4CDに加え、1977年のアニメ・ビデオ「Moonshadow」のレストア版や、2020年のライヴ・パフォーマンス「The Wind」、21曲のTVパフォーマンスをフィーチャーしたBlu-ray、2LP、7インチ・シングルが収められており、そのうち41曲が未発表音源です。

アルバム『Teaser and the Firecat』は、当時のUKおよびUSチャートで第2位を記録し、収録曲「Moonshadow」が両国でヒットしたほか、「Peace Train」と「Morning Has Broken」がUSチャートのトップ10入りを果たしました。

今回の50周年記念エディションは、オリジナル・アルバムのプロデューサーを務めたポール・サムウェル・スミスが監修。上記のスーパーデラックス・エディションのほか、4CD＋Blu-ray、2CD、LP、CD版の全5種で発売され、公式オンラインショップではすでに予約可能となっています。
