ブライト・アイズ、初期3作をリイシュー＋各リワークEP同時発売。それに合わせ米TV番組に出演、生演奏を披露

ブライト・アイズが、6月21日放送の米TV番組『The Late Late Show with James Corden』に出演し、「Falling Out of Love at This Volume」をパフォーマンスしました。

この曲は、フロントマンのコナー・コバーストが10代の頃に書いた曲で、バンド1998年のデビュー・アルバム『A Collection of Songs Written and Recorded 1995-1997』に収録されています。

ブライト・アイズは今年、2021年に移籍したデッド・オーシャンズ・レーベルから、全9枚のスタジオ・アルバムをリイシューすると発表し、その第1弾として、上記のデビュー・アルバム、セカンド・アルバム『Letting Off the Happiness』（1998年）、サード・アルバム『Fevers and Mirrors』（2000年）の3枚が、5月27日にリイシューされました。

また、このリイシュー・キャンペーンでは、各オリジナル・アルバムから再録音した5曲のリワーク・ヴァージョン＋カヴァーを収録したEPシリーズ「A Companion」も同時発売されており、セカンド・アルバム『Letting Off the Happiness』とサード・アルバム『Fevers and Mirrors』のEP「A Companion」には、ワクサハッチー（Waxahatchee）やフィービー・ブリジャーズ、エムウォード（M Ward）らがフィーチャーされていて、全曲YouTubeで公開されています。
