2トーン・シーンを描いた1981年のドキュメンタリー『Dance Craze』、DVD＋Blu-rayで発売

1980年のスカ・リヴァイヴァル絶頂期に、2トーンのエネルギーや興奮、コミュニティ意識を捉えた1981年のドキュメンタリー映画『Dance Craze』が4Kレストア化され、3月27日にDVD+Blu-rayで発売されることになりました。

この映画には、様々な会場で撮影されたザ・スペシャルズ、マッドネス、ザ・セレクター、ザ・ビート、バッド・マナーズ、ザ・ボディスナッチャーズらのライヴ音源が27曲フィーチャーされており、ツェッペリンの映画『The Song Remains the Same（狂熱のライヴ）』を手掛けたジョー・マソットが撮影・監督した本作は、当時UK、US、オーストラリアの劇場で公開され、同名のサントラ・アルバムがカセットとヴァイナルでリリースされていました。

また、上記の映像作品に加え、『Dance Craze』のリマスター版サントラをフィーチャーしたデラックス・エディション『Dance Craze：The Best of British Ska... Live!』が、3月24日に2トーン・レコードから3LP／3CDのボックスセットで発売されます。

ボックスセットには、映画のライヴ音源全27曲と、1981年に発売されたオリジナル・コンピレーション・アルバムの15曲が収録され、どちらのエディションにもオリジナル・ポスターのコピーが付きます。

なお、4Kレストア版『Dance Craze』は、3月22日にロンドンのBFI IMAXで特別上映される予定ですが、チケットはすでに完売したそうです。
