10cc、14CDボックスセット『20 Years 1972-1992』2024年1月発売

10ccの14CDボックスセット『20 Years 1972-1992』が、2024年1月26日に発売されることになりました。

このボックスセットには、1995年の『Mirror Mirror』を除く全スタジオ・アルバム10タイトルと、1977年の2枚組ライヴ・アルバム『Live and Let Live』、アルバム未収録曲やシングル・エディット、ミックスなどをフィーチャーした2CDが収められており、全145曲が収録されています。

またボックスセットには、バンドのバイオグラフィ『The Worst Band in the World』を執筆したリアム・ニュートンによる1万語のエッセイが含まれます。

オリジナル・メンバーのグレアム・グールドマン、エリック・スチュワート、ケヴィン・ゴドレイ、ロル・クレームの4人は、1972年の結成以降、10枚のトップ10シングルと3枚のNo.1シングル「Rubber Bullets」「I’m Not In Love」「Dreadlock Holiday」で商業的成功をおさめ、また5枚のスタジオ・アルバム『Sheet Music』『The Original Soundtrack』『How Dare You!』『Deceptive Bends’』『Bloody Tourists』が、連続でUKチャートのトップ10入りを果たしました。

ゴドレイとクレームは1976年に脱退しましたが、グールドマンとスチュワートは様々なラインナップと活動を続け、バンドは1983年に解散したものの、1991年に4人のオリジナル・メンバーが再結成し、1992年にアルバム『...Meanwhile』をリリースしました。

1999年以降は、唯一のオリジナル・メンバーのグールドマンを含む5人の新ラインナップでツアーを行なっており、来年3月には18公演を行なうワールド・ツアーを予定しています。
