ウィルコ、新アルバム『Cruel Country』から新シングル2曲のMV公開

ジェフ・トゥイーディー率いるウィルコが、通算12作目となる新スタジオ・アルバム『Cruel Country』を5月27日にデジタル・リリースすることになり、ファースト・シングル「Falling Apart (Right Now)」とセカンド・シングル「Tired Of Taking It Out On You」のMVが公開されました。

全21曲を収録した同作について、ジェフ・トゥイーディーは次のように語っています。

「僕らがやってきたこと全てにカントリーの要素がある。バンドは、僕がカントリー・ミュージックを作っているという考え、その定義に特に賛同したことはなかったけど、何度か経験を積んだ今は、その形の中で自分たちを解放し、僕らが作っている音楽をカントリーと呼ぶとスカっとするよ」

なお、新作が発売される5月27日から3日間にわたり、ウィルコが主催する「Solid Sound Festival」がマサチューセッツ州で開催され、バンドは6月からヨーロッパ／北米ツアーに乗り出します。
