音楽番組『The Midnight Special』、70年代ザ・カーズとELOのパフォーマンス映像公開

1972年～1983年に放送された米・音楽番組『The Midnight Special』のYouTubeチャンネルで、ザ・カーズが1978年9月15日放送の番組で披露した「My Best Friend’s Girl」と、エレクトリック・ライト・オーケストラ（ELO）が1975年1月17日の番組で披露した「In the Hall of the Mountain King」（邦題「山の魔王の宮殿にて」）のパフォーマンス映像が公開されています。

前者の曲は、カーズが1978年に発表したデビュー・アルバム『The Cars』からセカンド・シングルとしてリリースされ、UKチャートで第3位を記録しました。

後者の曲は、ノルウェーの作曲家、エドヴァルド・グリーグが1985年に作曲したオーケストラ音楽のカヴァーで、ELO 1973年のサード・アルバム『On the Third Day』に収録されています。
