ジミー・ペイジ＆ブラック・クロウズ、「The Lemon Song」の未発表ライヴ音源公開

ジミー・ペイジとブラック・クロウズが、3月14日に発売される共演ライヴ・アルバム『Live At The Greek：Excess All Areas』（2000年）の25周年記念エディション（2月14日MLCニュース）から、レッド・ツェッペリンの「The Lemon Song」をカヴァーした未発表ライヴ・ヴァージョンを公開しました。

2000年のライヴ・アルバムには、ペイジとクロウズが1999年10月にロサンゼルスのグリーク・シアターで行なった2公演から録音したライヴ音源が収録されていますが、契約上の問題により、クロウズが演奏した「Remedy」「Wiser Time」「No Speak, No Slave」や、オーティス・レディングのカヴァー「Hard To Handle」などは含まれていませんでした。

今回の25周年記念エディションには、新たにリミックス／リマスターした全36曲が収録されており、そのうち16曲は2000年のオリジナル・アルバムに収録されていない未発表音源で、上記「The Lemon Song」の未発表ライヴ音源は、当時のサウンドチェック中に録音されました。

なお、ツェッペリンによる「The Lemon Song」のオリジナル・スタジオ・ヴァージョンは、バンド1969年のセカンド・アルバム『Led Zeppelin II』に収録されています。

『Live At The Greek: Excess All Areas』の25周年記念エディションは、6LPおよび3CDのボックスセットで発売され、このほか同エディションから15曲を2LP（カラー・ヴァイナル）に収めた『Best Of Edition』が、ブラック・クロウズの公式ウェブサイトにて1,000セット限定で同時発売されます。
