2/18日本盤発売のイエス『海洋地形学の物語』スーパー・デラックス・エディション、関連音源が公開中

2025年11月21日MLCニュースでお伝えしたイエス『海洋地形学の物語（Tales From Topographic Oceans）』スーパー・デラックス・エディション、日本盤の発売が2月18日に迫っています。CD／LP／Blu-rayのセットで合わせて15枚、という超大型アイテムにひるんでいるリスナーも多いかと思いますが、同作からサンプルとしていくつか動画が公開されていますので、それらを含めて改めてボックスの中身をチェックしておきましょう。

イエスの『海洋地形学の物語』6枚目のアルバムで、彼らのスタジオ・アルバムの中でも屈指の長尺作品です。1973年にリリースされ、ドラムスにアラン・ホワイトをフィーチュアした最初のレコードでもありました。

当初は賛否両論を浴びたものの、商業的な成功作（全米アルバム・チャート最高位第6位）として反響を呼び、現在ではイエスの全リリースのカタログの中でも極めて重要な作品のひとつとされています。そのアルバムがスーパー・デラックス・エディションの形で再発されました。

今作はCD12枚、LP2枚にブルーレイという膨大なパッケージとなっています。新たにリマスタリングされたオリジナルのダブル・アルバムがCDとヴァイナル両方の形で収められ、またレア音源、未発表のスタジオ及びライヴ・レコーディング、さらにスティーヴン・ウィルソンによる新ミックスとドルビー・アトモス・ヴァージョンも含まれています。

本エディションの予告編として、新たにシングル・エディットが施された「The Ancient」が公開されています。
