エディ・ヴェダー、新アルバム『Earthling』のサポート・ツアー開幕

初日の公演は、ニューヨークのビーコン・シアターで行なわれ、ツアー・バンドのジ・アースリングス（The Earthlings）には、アルバムのプロデュースを手掛けたアンドリュー・ワット（g）、レッチリのチャド・スミス（ds）、元レッチリのジョシュ・クリングホッファー（key / g / vo）、ジェーンズ・アディクション／NHCのクリス・チェイニー（b）、ザ・フレイムズのグレン・ハンサード（g / vo）らが参加、アルバム収録曲10曲を含め、全22曲を披露しています。

同公演には様々なカヴァー曲もフィーチャーされており、オープニングで演奏したR.E.M.のカヴァー「Drive」に続き、トム・ぺティの「Room at The Top」、ビートルズの「Here Comes the Sun」をカヴァー、続いてアルバム『Earthlings』から10曲を披露し、パール・ジャムの「Wishlist」と「Porch」もカヴァーしました。

またアンコールでは、プリテンダーズの「Precious」、パール・ジャムの「Better man」、パティ・スミスの「People Have the Power」、ジョージ・ハリスンの「Isn’t It a Pity」、ボブ・ディランの「All Along the Watchtower」をカヴァーしています。
