●Up On The Roof - The Drifters | The Midnight Special

1972年～1983年に放送された米・音楽番組『The Midnight Special』のYouTubeチャンネルにて、ザ・ドリフターズが1974年2月15日の番組で披露した「Up On The Roof」のパフォーマンス映像が公開されました。

この曲は、キャロル・キングとジェリー・ゴフィンが作詞作曲し、ドリフターズが1962年にレコーディングしたもので、1963年にUSポップ・シングル・チャートで第5位、R&Bシングル・チャートで4位を記録する大ヒットになりました。

このほか同チャンネルでは、パティ・ラベル率いる女性ヴォーカル・グループ、ラベル1975年の「Are You Lonely？」や、ジャッキー・ウィルソン1974年の「Higher And Higher」、ホセ・フェリシアーノ1973年の「I Like What You Give」、チャック・ベリー1973年の「Tulane」のパフォーマンス映像も公開されています。
