ジャーニーの「Freedom」ツアーが開幕

Journey - Only The Young - Live Pittsburgh 2/22/22

ジャーニーの「Freedom」ツアーが2月22日、ペンシルヴェニア州ピッツバーグのPPGペインツ・アリーナで幕を開け、TOTOがオープニング・アクトを務めました。

ジャーニーのラインナップには、ニール・ショーン、ジョナサン・ケイン、アーネル・ピネダに加え、キーボーディスト／ヴォーカリストのジェイソン・ダーラトカ、ドラマーのディーン・カストロノヴォ、ベーシストのトッド・ジェンセンがフィーチャーされ、2020年に新メンバーとして発表されたベーシストのランディ・ジャクソンとドラマーのナラダ・マイケル・ウォルデン（2020年5月25日MLCニュース）の姿はありませんでしたが、彼らについては言及しませんでした。

初日の公演では、サポート・アクトのTOTOが10曲を披露した後、ジャーニーが往年の大ヒット曲を含む19曲を演奏しており、サミー・ヘイガーとニール・ショーンによる幻のプロジェクト、HSAS（ヘイガー、ショーン、ケニー・アーロンソン、マイケル・シュリーヴのイニシャルを繋げたバンド名）が1984年にリリースした唯一のアルバム『Through the Fire』から、「My Home Town」も披露しました。
