ビリー・ジョエル、MSG公演で16年ぶりに「Storm Front」を披露

ビリー・ジョエルが4月8日、NYCのマディソン・スクエア・ガーデン（MSG）で毎月恒例のレジデンシー公演を行ない、オープニングで1989年の「Storm Front」を披露しました。ファンが撮影したパフォーマンス映像が公開されています。

この曲は、1989年に発表したスタジオ・アルバム『Storm Front』のタイトル曲で、ジョエルは1989年から1991年まで定期的に演奏していましたが、2006年2月11日のMSG公演を最後に演奏しておらず、16年ぶりの披露となりました。

ジョエルはこの夜、観客に向けて次のように語っています。
「今夜の1曲目は、いつもならオープニングで演奏しない曲で、セットリストを考える際に大きな議論となりました。でも長いこと演奏しないと、その曲がどうなるかについても常に思いを巡らせていて、置きっぱなしの箱みたいになってしまいますからね」
